Although we found that India was a place of inconsistencies, there was one constant throughout our travels: the women. The wonderful, soft, tender women who just wanted to engage and bond, no matter what language barriers were in the way. Wherever we drove we were greeted by waves and smiles from the women, whenever we stopped we were embraced and surrounded by women.
Below is short photo essay, showing some of the beautiful faces we encountered on our travels.
On our way to Hyderabad from Vijayawada, we stopped at the side of the road to snap these women working in the rice fields. The second we stopped, they dropped what they were doing and came straight to greet us and to shake our hands and have their picture taken.
On our trip around Mysore, we stepped away from the famous palace and market and found ourselves in this little courtyard being taught how to make incense by this woman who spends her days rolling thousands of sticks of the stuff!
