The Enjoyable Rut is a travel blog here to inspire you to get outside and make the most out of life. We all love wild adventures and great escapes, but who’s to say that adventure isn’t as close as your back yard? Here at TER, we relish walks on the Cornish coast and weekends spent wild camping as much as we love getting on a plane and stepping out into unknown territory. We’re hikers and climbers and duvet-dayers, kayakers and sleepers and party animals. It’s all in what you make it.

We’re here to show you the beauty and wonder in the every day, that the edge of the map isn’t as far as you can go and that the ends of the world aren’t limits at all. We take joy in the little things – in spending time with the people we love and accepting that down-time is a necessary part of being present in this world. We’re a bit hippy-dippy, but we don’t mind.

All things considering, we also spend a considerable amount of time living at the bottom of overdrafts and booking flights. We spend days pouring over maps and schedules, planning road trips and hiking routes. TER understands the need to just get on that plane and see everything there is to see.
